Safe at Home

Brendan returned safely home on July 28. He was excited to tell us, "Bopa has a banana tree, a papaya tree, a lemon tree, and a small fig tree."

It took a few days for him to adjust to the time change. He had a fever and a cough, and occasional vomitting when he arrived home which, combined with the jet lag, made him spend his first 5 or 6 days quietly in bed. He is doing much better now and I hope to have time to share a few more photos and stories from his trip to Rodrigues in the near future.

He thoroughly enjoyed visiting my dad and hopes to have an opportunity to visit him again. He asked me if he could go again next summer, but our finances won't allow it.
